RENEWABLE ENERGY

QHSA is one of only a few organisations whose key staff can claim more than a decade’s experience working within the Renewable Energy Industry, with significant and in some cases intimate involvement in all types of Marine Renewable Energy Projects, including:

  • The manufacture of wind turbine blades from 6.8m long to over 40m in length 
  • Providing consultancy advice and training to a number of major turbine manufacturers on blade construction techniques, process improvements and product quality
  • The development of concept, design, prototype build and testing and serial manufacture of the first Offshore Wave Energy Machines
  • Providing project health & safety support with the installation of a commercial demonstration Tidal Device
  • Providing project health & safety support to the construction of a number of Round 1 and 2 Offshore Wind Farms 

Our key staff have also made a significant contribution to the development of BWEA’s Health & Safety Guidelines for Marine Renewable Energy Projects which is due to be published towards the end of 2008 / early 2009. 

We aim to give support and assistance to emerging technology providers, to enable the development of products from concept through to production realisation, and to provide existing technology providers with project support services for the ongoing construction and installation of all types of Marine Renewable Energy Projects.
