HEALTH & SAFETY We believe that good Health & Safety management provides for a safe and healthy work environment, allowing employers to demonstrate their commitment to their employees, which in turn improves motivation and creates a happier and more productive work force, less prone to accidents, incidents, injuries and ill-health – lost time can never be regained. Although the Health & Safety at Work etc Act has been in place for over 30 years, it is surprising how many companies and individuals have never heard of it, or don’t understand its basic principles and requirements. This may be due to a lack of resources, the shear volume and perceived complexity of the legislation, poor interpretation or sadly (and let’s be honest) due to ignorance.
